Hi, I’m Heidi! I’m the owner, grower, dreamer, and compost-slinger of Sublime Gardens.  I’m so glad you found us!

We bought our 5-acre farm here in Snohomish, WA about 7 years ago. It’s a beautiful, west-facing piece of property with to-die-for sunsets.

Within a couple of years we had added mini donkeys, a quirky group of rescued sheep, spoiled chickens, and a horse with an uncanny resemblance to the one I grew up with, to our farm.

It had always been a dream of mine to have a greenhouse and a nursery so in 2017 I started Sublime Gardens and we built our hoop-house that came with no directions and took about three times longer than it should have.

I was a landscape designer at the time, running my company Sublime Garden Design. For the first few years Sublime Gardens grew, housed and supplied that company with many of the plants for our designs.

That was until 2020 when a number of life events lead me to make a choice between designing gardens or working here on the farm.

I made the very difficult choice to put Sublime Garden Design on hold to pursue growing the nursery into be something that could become its own self-sustaining business. In 2021 I began growing cut flowers in addition to selling nursery plants.

So here we are in 2024…it’s been a crazy, fun and exhausting ride. This is some of the hardest work I have ever done, and yet some of the most gratifying. I have met so many wonderful people, made new friends, and cultivated new business relationships.

I am no longer designing gardens but I do still offer garden consultations when I have time. I’d love to meet you someday at a consultation, a market, or at the nursery. Please follow along on Instagram or Facebook to stay up to date with what we’re doing.
