• Japanese forest grass is one of my all time favorite grasses! This variety is variegated with a golden hue. It is a slow-growing, well-behaved, deciduous grass that arches more horizontally than upright. It works well along pathways, in a mass-planting, or mixed with other perennials toward the front of the border.  It prefers well-drained soil and will do well in part to full shade. Matures at about 1-2' tall by 3' wide. It will die back in winter and only needs to be slightly cleaned up in spring. A must have! Photo Courtesy of Sublime Gardens
