Brighten up your garden with the vibrant Echinacea purpurea ‘Butterfly Julia’. Named after the Dryas Julia Longwing butterfly, this compact fragrant coneflower is as vividly beautiful as its namesake. Offering loads of flowers all summer in orange shades, the 4″ blossoms will turn more golden orange as they age.

In addition to its ornamental beauty, Echinacea purpurea is renowned for its medicinal properties. Traditionally used to support the immune system and help combat colds and infections, it’s a valuable addition to any herbal garden. Ideal for adding a splash of warmth and vibrancy to your outdoor space, Butterfly Julia Echinacea is a standout choice for both its aesthetic and therapeutic benefits.

Care:

  • Thrives in full sun. Water well as they are getting established, they require minimal watering once established and are fairly drought-resistant. Plant in well-drained soil that isn’t too rich, as overly fertile soil can lead to weaker, leggy growth. Leave flower remnants/seed for the birds over winter and cut back in February/March.

*Please note that hybrid varieties of Echinacea may not be true to seed, meaning that seeds collected from these plants may not produce offspring with the same characteristics as the parent plant.
