Add a refreshing splash of color to your garden with Echinacea ‘Supreme Cantaloupe.’ This distinctive perennial features lush, double blooms in a soft, cantaloupe-orange hue that matures into a creamy apricot, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in any garden setting. The fluffy, pom-pom-like central cones are surrounded by delicate, reflexed petals, making ‘Supreme Cantaloupe’ a true standout in borders, beds, or containers.
Known for its extended blooming period from summer through fall, ‘Supreme Cantaloupe’ is a favorite among pollinators, attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds with its nectar-rich flowers.
Care:
- Thrives in full sun. Water well as they are getting established, they require minimal watering once established and are fairly drought-resistant. Plant in well-drained soil that isn’t too rich, as overly fertile soil can lead to weaker, leggy growth. Leave flower remnants/seed for the birds over winter and cut back in February/March.
*Please note that hybrid varieties of Echinacea may not be true to seed, meaning that seeds collected from these plants may not produce offspring with the same characteristics as the parent plant.
