Herbaceous perennial with dark green foliage that smells like mint and basil. Whorls of tubular shaped flowers are vibrant, crimson red throughout summer and works well for cut flower arrangements. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Leaves can be used to make tea. Plant in partial to full sun and well-draining soils. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers. Cut back to ground at the end of the growing season.
