Compact evergreen shrub with rich green foliage and and fragrant white flowers in early spring, which provide a good source of early nectar to pollinators. Use this shrub to add structure and interest to the winter garden and as a cut flower filler.
Matures at about 2-3′ tall and wide. Plant in part to full sun. Does best with protection from hot afternoon sun. Plant with hellebores, hydrangeas, ferns, hostas, heucheras, and Japanese maples. Prune to thin out as needed after flowering,
