Easy care, variegated perennial that adds interest to cottage or woodland gardens. Small maroon flowers reach 4-5′ tall in summer. Plant in a  grouping toward the back of the border where it will get adequate moisture and afternoon shade. Deer and rabbit resistant. Cut back in fall. Evergreen here in the PNW.
