Yes, we can grow citrus in the Pacific Northwest! This hardy citrus can reportedly handle temps down to 0 degrees. The yellow fruit is said to taste like a cross between lemon and lime and ripens in the fall. Use for flavoring, juice or preserves. Deciduous tree with large thorns (not a plant you want around young children or pets). Can be grown in pot, maturing at about 5-6′ tall. Prune minimally only as needed in February. Fertilize 3-4 times per year with a citrus fertilizer.
