Compact evergreen shrub with rich green and creamy white variegated foliage. Blooms with fragrant white flowers in early spring, which provide a good source of early nectar to pollinators. Use this shrub to add structure and interest to the winter garden and in foundation plantings. Matures to about 3-4′ x3-4′. Plant in part to full sun. Does best with protection from hot afternoon sun. Plant with hydrangeas, ferns, hostas, and Japanese maples. Prune to thin out as needed after flowering,
